SERA00 Surprise! Last days of school surprise visit ^_^

Good moooorning everyone! This is Evie, Reece, Sassan, Fracken, Luna, Maya, and Angel on a bus, going to surprise a high school! Recap from the last post:
We're SERA00; the idols you can meet!
This year, we're picking two schools, one elementary and one high school, to visit on their last day of school assembly! We've asked students in schools everywhere in Canada to apply for this opportunity, and we've received overwhelming response of 4768 elementary schools and 1903 high schools!
Now the actual number is closer to 5k elementary schools and 2k high schools. So there are seven members going to the school today. We're from the Dry cast, even though it hasn't been released yet...well, anything for promotion :P The high school that was picked from the lucky draw lottery is E. H. K. Secondary School! Today, the MCs from SERA00 Sonic Speed, the RW Comedic Duo, Renner and Warner, are the hosts of this program.
"Alright," Renner said. "Let's have some background info! So, the student who applied on behalf of EHK is a tenth grade boy by the name of Josiah Ackerman. It says that a bunch of people from the school wanted to apply, but he provided the name as he is an avid SERA00 fan. He wrote, EHK is a wonderful place where everyone is supportive of each other. I moved schools many times, and I was so surprised at the atmosphere I recieved when I walked into this school. Everyone is so kind and welcoming, even though I entered this school in the middle of grade nine last year, even the seniors. So I think it would be a great present to all these students of SERA00 could visit on our last day of school."
The members nodded as Renner read the application.
"Right," Warner said flamboyantly, "Josiah's favourite members are..."
"Dun dun dun," Renner provided.
"I bet it's me," Luna grinned comedically.
"Well, it's actually Miss Vera here," Warner poked me in the head.
I widened my eyes in surprise. "Actually?"
"Congrats," Angel said. All the members were clapping.
"What about his second choice?" Luna nagged him.
"His, ahh, second choice...is Luna," Warner conceded reluctantly.
Luna pumped her fist in the air. "Yes! I knew it! econd!"
"Okaaay! So here's the plan," Renner managed to randomly produce a Bristol board in the van that had a crudely drawn diagram. "Only the teachers know we're coming. So we're going to surprise Josiah...with Evie!"
Warner continued. "Josiah is a prefect, so we're going to have a teacher call him to the office, saying that he needs to show around a visitor. And then, when he turns the knob, who is sitting in the chair waiting?"
"Evie!" my friends shouted.
"Correct!" Warner shoved an earpiece into my hands. We'll be monitoring the encounter in another room. With the school's cooperation, we've planted some hidden cameras to capture the meeting!"
We placed our hands in a pact. Angel led the shout. "SERA00!"
"Smiling, EneRgetic, Admirable...we'll always be kind and nice and just! SERA00!" we roared. We had arrived. We snuck inside without any problem and met up with the teacher who was in on our plan. After setting things up with the principal, everything was in place and good to go.
Past this point I'm just narrating the SERA00 Sonic Speed episode because I couldn't actually see what was going on in the other room.
The girls were clustered around a TV, that showed a feed from one of the cameras in the office.
The PA system turned on. "Sorry for the interruption. Would Josiah Ackerman report to the office for prefecting, please? Josiah Ackerman to the office. Thank you."
"He's coming," Renner said in my ear. The episode switches to a shot of a blond haired girl standing nonchalantly in the halls, reading a book.
Maya!?
"There's Maya," Renner said, confirming my suspicious. "Maya? Go around the corner, see if he's there."
Maya takes a step, reaches up a hand to yank her wig back in place, and disappears from the camera's view for a couple of seconds. Her voice sounded. "He's right on me," she hissed quietly, walking casually down the hall. Sure enough, Josiah appeared walking behind Maya. He didn't seem to notice anything wrong.
"Switch to office cam!" Warner gestured rapidly. "Evie, are you ready? He's coming in seven, six, five, four, three, two..."
The doorknob to the office turned. I had my back to Josiah at the time, but from the video, I could see that he spotted me when the door had opened about halfway. He froze.
I was wearing a SERA00 uniform, which was probably a dead giveaway to him that something was not quite right.
Josiah glanced at his surroundings, as if looking for help, but he was alone. Once again, he reverted to staring at my back. He took a few tentative steps forwards, and to the side, trying to get a good look at my face. But I resisted the urge to turn.
"Uhhhh..." he emitted a low sound. I pretended not to hear him.
"Don't say anything!" Renner shrieked in my earpiece.
He waited for a moment, and then seeing that I wasn't doing anything, he tried again. "...Excuse me?"
"Turn and look at him with a quizzical expression," Warner coached. "Say, yes?"
I turned and looked casually at him, as if nothing was wrong. "Yes?"
"Ahhh..." he shifted uncomfortably. "Are you...would you happen to be...ummm...maybe...Evie? From SERA00?"
"He identified you!" I could hear the members' whoops in my earpiece from the other room. "Lie," Warner shouted. "We'll be right there!"
"No," I preceded to trick him. I put on a phony British accent. "Unfouuchunately noht," I drawled, keeping a straight face. "Many hauve mistoohk me fouh Ehvaunjaleen Verah in the paust."
"Oh," Josiah said awkwardly, slightly speechless. He looked over my costume. "Um, are you sure?"
"Ahm I shuure," I drawled, "thaht I ahm noht Ehvaunja-"
"Surprise!" Sassan, Luna, Fracken, Angel, Maya, Reece, and the RW Duo burst threw the office door.
"Surprise," I grinned. I bowed to him. "Nice to meet you. I'm Evangeline Vera."
Josiah was confused for a moment, and then broke out into a wide smile. "I'm Josiah Ackerman...um, I'm a big fan of yours."
"Thanks!" I said.
Renner shoved a microphone in Josiah's face. "What does this feel like, to have SERA00 suddenly invade your school?"
"Ah..." Josiah laughed nervously. "Is this a dream? It feels like a dream to meet all of you at once."
"Not a dream," Warner confirmed.
"Well then...I guess this is really too good to be true..." he paused, glancing at me with unbelieving eyes. "I bought a theatre version of Seventh Heaven, and lined up in your line for four hours, but I had to leave before it was my turn."
I pursed my lips. "Well that was too bad. I'm so sorry. I hope I'll see you next time! Maybe in the Dry national handshake event!" I stepped forwards and took up his hands. "But since I'm here already..." I shook his hands vigorously, and even gave him a hug.
"Thank you so much," he beamed.
"There'll be time for photos and autographs later," Renner said, "but now we need your help, Josiah, to crash your end of the year assembly!"
Okay. We're back in the room. We've been staring at the TV for about forty-five minutes now. We've planted cameramen and women in the gymnasium, telling the students that they can buy a copy of the disc of the assembly later or something. Anyhow, judging from the video feed, none of them suspect anything.
We're not going to have Josiah announce us, because that would arouse too much suspicion for the people who did know that Josiah applied. He will have the chance after our performance. The gym is full now, and the first performances have started.
Near the end of the assembly, Warner beckoned to us. "Let's go." We all snuck around the school and entered through the stage entrance. We were to be the last act, the finale.
"Okay girls," Angel said. "Are we ready?"
"Yes!"
"First up is Seventh Heaven!"
"Yeaaaaahh!"
The teacher stood at the podium and announced the "next act". "In order to celebrate your last day of school, we have a treat for you today."
The cheers sounded.
"It is not cake."
The groans sounded.
"It is something better!"
The students cheered again.
"Please welcome our last act of the day. Let the finale begin!"
The opening chords to our single, Seventh Heaven, blared out of the loudspeakers and on cue, we ran onto stage. "The light is on you, in you, everywhere. There's a place in front, ahead, out of reach."
There was, of course, that moment of silence when everyone's like "what". And then there are our hardcore WOTAs who start screaming the mixes :) and then everyone else realizes that SERA00 is at their school and they start freaking out as well. My, my, I think this is the best part of being in SERA00; watching people be surprised. But it's also really good to know that because you're in SERA00, that's why you're capable of surprising them and making their day! Isn't that such a good feeling? "This is the top, of the chain of rivals. This is the top, of the chain of inspiration!"
At the end of Seventh Heaven, Angel stepped forwards to take the MC. "Eh..." she paused to catch her breath. "Good morning EHK!!!"
"Asfksjraewwwaaaadkgjejwjck!!" they screamed back.
"Are you having fun??"
"YEAAAHH!"
"I'm Angel, and this is SERA00! Thank you for welcoming us!" Angel holds her microphone to the side, a cue for us. We all bow at the same time. "Your very own sophomore, Josiah Ackerman, invited us here to celebrate your last day of school!"
"Wddjjaaaajdkksaaahhahajsf!!!"
"The next song we're going to sing for you is called When the Bells Toll, our graduation song for you." Angel stepped back.
We performed the melancholy song. It's actually one of my favourites.
"When the bells toll, I'll be waiting...for youuuuuuu."
Our audience cheered wildly and we knew we did a good job. "Encore! Encore! Encore! Encore!"
The senior members were offstage, quickly discussing their schedules with our crew. Then Sassan nodded over to the rest of us and mouthed, "Look Up."
We heard the unmistakable howl that was the opening of Look Up, and the students cheered. Most of them were up on their feet now, and we even saw a couple fans performing wotagei.
"Look up, look up, look up, I said look up, look up, look u-u-up!" we danced and sang to the upbeat song. "Cuz wherever you are, you're never alone, and the stars in the sky, will never fall! So look up, look up, look up..."
So, our SERA00 Surprise of EHK Secondary School was a success! Afterwards, we stayed for an hour for quick photographs and autographs and handshakes.
No time to waste! We were off to another event. Later that night, we still had a SERA00 Stage performance. A busy life is the price to pay for the ability to entertain people; but it's well worth it!

Megan Avery comments on the Sixth Generation

Finally, we get some feedback from Megan Avery, SERA00's producer. Of course, after learning the finalized lineups for the 00s, we already have a good idea what Miss Avery is thinking. But now we will get first hand thoughts from her! Check out this interview.

-Where do you think the talent has mostly come from so far?
"Definitely the first generations, they are a hardworking bunch who are the foundation of SERA00, I'd say. We're lucky to have girls like them. Also, the third generations, and the fourth generations had a lot of talent. Not to say that the other generations weren't as good, it's just those that stand out in my mind at first thought."

-How invovled are you with SERA00 and the promotion desicions?
"Pretty close, I would say. Other than financial matters, because I leave those to the math people-"
-You're not involved in financial matters?
"No, not really. I supply the creativity and ideas, and they tell me whether it's doable and what the profit would be. So in the end I have general ideas, but nothing specific."
-I see.
"But on everything else, I pretty much have final say. Although I do work closely with SERA00 Management, I have the power to individually veto or implement something within the group. Ah, things like casting for songs, how to split screen time, which members participate in what events, we often discuss during meetings and I have much influence in those desicions. So, I guess you can say that if there's a girl we want to promote, we'll get her up there alright. We have many resources to tap on."

-What are your general thoughts about this year's talents?
"Good, I think. It should rival the third or fourth generation. Originally, we were going to accept thirty new 00 ranks, as we had a lot of good talent, but the numbers didn't work out, so what you see is the best of the best this year."

-Who should we watch out for in the sixth generation?
"Obviously, Samantha Willis, the centre we picked. Another strong contender is Macey Fent, who's a really confident girl, and that's a really good quality to see in an idol. Ah...Eclair Holland is going to be another type of special to watch out for. And lastly, keep your eyes peeled on the two Japanese girls. Like it or not, they're probably going to rip through the ranks until they can stand at Sakiko's side." (Mihashi "Sassan" Sakiko)

-Yes, that's another topic we wanted to bring up. How exactly is the centre and lineups decided on?
"Impression. And idol power. Star power. Definitely."
-Impressions? As in first impressions?
"Something of the sort. I watch every audition. No member has joined this group before passing my inspection. And there are just some girls who pop out, you know? Who make you say, she's a special one. She's going to rise through the ranks really quickly. But then there are also the ones where you have to look a little closer to see where their idol power may be. Those are the ones who leave you the impression, I can't pick it out. She doesn't seem so impressive. Her dancing and singing aren't even on par with some of the others. Why am I drawn to her? And those are the ones with untapped potential. So we look for both. Those who are special, and those who have the ability to become something beyond your imagination."
-Are the centres a mix of these types, then?
"Yes, I would imagine so. By pushing them forwards, we can see what they're really capable of. They have this chance to prove themselves."

-I'm sure the girls would like to know to too, but why did you pick the centres that you did for the 00s?
"Ah, let's start with some of the more obvious. Macey is so determined and ambitious, she'll be the next generation's Luna. Yumi is very energetic. I think she and Tomiko have the advantage of knowing the strings already, so they performed like seasoned professionals. They might have picked up a thing or two from Sakiko, but they carry themselves well. I don't mean to offend any of the girls, but in all honesty, Briar Rose is a gamble. It's up to her whether she will step up to the challenge. All we can do is support her from behind. And the question of Samantha is the most curious, yes? Many are comparing her to Sakiko. I know they say we're being too harsh pushing a background girl to the front. But we see the potential, and if it was her choice to join SERA00, we're going to do whatever we can to rip it out of her. So if you're not ready for the hard work and commitment, don't even think of auditioning. Of course, none of them quite have the ability to measure up to the seniors yet, alrhough it's a possibility that we could see another Harley Breeze, who so effectively, on her own will, climbed to the top in a short amount of time."

-Do they have a say in their promotion?
*laughs* "Honestly? Not really. Everything is predetermined. The seniors know how it works, and they'll make sure the new members do to. Most of the management's desicions are finalized. But it's turned out well in the past. Take a look at Sassan. She was a shy one, but we broke her out of her shell with a vicious push as centre of the entire group, and she's accomplishing things she only dreamed of years ago. Who's another one? Angel. Believe it or not, she was almost like Sassan, quiet and reserved, not seeming to fit in. But now, she's our most valuable asset. She's their leader, their support, and I dare say SERA00 wouldn't be here without someone who plays her role as beautifully as she does. Others, Luna, Fracken, they were ambitious from the start, brimming with idol and star power, and all we did was harness that energy and give them a place to shine. You really have to credit the girls for their hard work."
That's all for today! We hoped you enjoyed this backstage insight! Okay everyone who has exams out there, good luck! You can do it!

Untold
A SERA00 Single
Music and lyrics by Megan Avery
Performed by flynow

~There are some things
That should stay untold
There is no place
In this world for the bold

I apologize
But your heart's too cold
There are some things
That should stay untold

It's been too long
Can't break out from this mold
Or escape from
This ruthless hold

I apologize
But the dice has been rolled
There are some things
That should stay untold
~

It's really cool, and all three girls have strong vocals, and this almost...hmm, how to describe it...melancholy melody? It sounds really amazing.

The Making of Dry: DANCE VER.

The Making of Dry: DANCE VERSION.
Alexandrea reads out the formation. "We have exactly 16 main cast members. Formation 1, four rows, 2-3-5-6." That meant the first row had two girls, the second had 3, and so on. "Formation 2, two rows, 8-8. Formation 3, four rows, 1-4-5-6. Formation 4, four rows, 5-4-2-5." She laid out a chart paper that had the formations drawn on it.

Formation 1:
Angel, Luna
Sassan, Evie, Fracken
Maya, Harley, River, Rosie, Luraland
Alison, Lilybell, Reece, Marti, Rome, Katerina

Formation 2:
Fracken, Katerina, Marti, Rosie, Luraland, Harley, Alison, Reece
Rome, Lilybell, Sassan, Angel, River, Evie, Maya, Luna

Formation 3:
Evie
Angel, Sassan, Fracken, Luna
Maya, Marti, Lilybell, Alison, Katerina
Reece, Harley, River, Rosie, Luraland, Rome

Formation 4:
Sassan, Fracken, Angel, Luna, Evie
River, Rosie, Luraland, Reece
Maya, Harley
Katerina, Marti, Rome, Lilybell, Alison

I have to say, Formation 3 scares me the most.
"These are mostly stage formations," Alexandrea says. "We're going to briefly work on the stage choreography, and then you'll record the single, and then the PV and MV."
So the music she had was off vocal, only instrumental. "Alright," Alexandrea says, "This is basically the dance. Watch." She turns on the music and starts a seemingly complicated dance sequence. "Here we go now, one, two, three, four, and one, two, three, four, and spin, back, slide, four, and one, turn, arms, and four, and dryyyyyyy!"
Alexandrea drops, demonstrating one part, and immediately springs up, demonstrating another part that goes on at the same time. She finishes the dance sequence. I'm not sure I followed any of that... "You good?"
I glance over at Luna and Sassan and Angel, who are already quickly going over the dance in their minds, vaguely moving their bodies. "We're good," Luna calls.
"Great," Alexandrea says, and throws her towel over her shoulder. "Be back in an hour."
Rome and I watch her leave with wide eyes. Did the girls get the dance after watching it once? With the coupling songs, she usually breaks it down for us, line by line, and then gives us some time to get our act together, and then comes back and starts the fix-up process.
Luna has the choreography sheet. "It follows the formation numbers almost exactly. Start of Formation 1, switch to 2 at the chorus, second verse to 3, switch to four halfway through, back to 1, chorus, three, ending 1."
Luna starts the music. It seems as if all the others have picked up the dance moves after only seeing it once. Am I the only one fumbling in the dark?
After a couple times into the dance, I'm pretty sure I have it down. "Evie," Angel stops the music and faces me. We are in Formation 3. "Evie, you're at the tip. You need to keep in mind that you are in the position. The centre position, where no one is in front of you. You are at the front. So be sure of your actions. Dance, because everyone behind is looking up to you, like how you used to do up until now. We're all here, okay? We're going to support you through the song, so throw away your fears, smile, dance, and sing."
Angel's wonderful words...are cut to pieces as soon as the last formation check before the hour is up begins. It is the job of the captains, senior members, and centres to lead the formation check. They stand at the front, while we go through the song, and they pick on every single thing that can be improved.
Luna claps her hands. As the captain of Team Night, fabled for their star power image, she usually leads formation checks. "Great, we'll take the far line of Formation 2 first."
After that -__-
"Evie, bigger step!"
"Evie, ninety degrees in the left hand!"
"Evie, thrust your hip more sharply!"
"Evie, make your movements more decisive! You're centre in this formation!"
"Evie, MOVE FASTER!"
Yup. Evie, that's me.

SERA00 00 rank Stories! First Dance Lessons

SERA00 00 Rank Adventures!

00s:
Macey, Mikayla, Oakley, Kaya, Liesl, Haley, Scarlett, Yumichan, Tomiko, Braelyn, Aspen, Sammi, Echo, Briar Rose

I, Evie, bring to you the adventures of SERA00's latest additions... The 6th generation 00 ranks! From the PVs, fans are already betting on who will be promoted first- popular contenders include Macey, Yumichan, Tomiko, and Sammi.
Alexandrea has us busy with Dry (22nd single). The head instructor for training the newbies is Rowan Chowdury. Right now they're about to go through an intense dance session. Because there are no senior 00 ranks, the stage is all theirs when it comes to the 00 rank stage (recall stages, set lists of songs performed at the daily concerts, ie. Team Aurora 3rd Stage). They have no one experienced to put in front to follow; they must be confident when performing for their audience.
The 00 ranks are scheduled to perform their first stage on June 27, 2013. They are working hard towards that goal. Immense pressure will be put on the girl chosen as 00 rank centre; rumor is that Miss Avery and management have already chosen one.
I knock on the door to the dance studio they're occupying. "Come in," a voice calls. I open the door and step in. I already hear some gasps and many eyes.
I smile and wave at the 00 ranks. "Hey everyone! I'm Evangeline Vera of Team Aurora."
Rowan looks me over. "Evie, you're dripping sweat in my dance studio."
I grimace. "Sorry...just finished a dance class with Alexandrea. Lower centre is a giant leap from coupling songs."
Rowan laughs. She points at me. "Girls, I'm gonna work you until you sweat harder than this idol here. Get up!"
A bunch of groans arise from the twelve girls as they push themselves to their feet and surround Rowan and me. I decide to give them a piece of advice. "Never do that." They all look at me curiously, and Rowan smiles, knowing where this is going. "Never groan when you are called. Yes, you are idols. But this is your job. The first time the fourth generation groaned, it was unfortunately, in front of Miss Avery. She's a figure to be admired and she gave us a real reprimanding for groaning when we haven't even started to work hard. So try your best." I figured about half of them were my age or younger. It felt weird giving advice to the older girls, but in this world, age doesn't matter. Ranking, experience, and popularity do. As far as I can tell, I'm...probably more well known than the 00 ranks...at this point.
"Oh yeah," Rowan says, "Evie mentioned centre...speaking of centre, SERA00 management has chosen the 00 rank centre. For the kawaii unit song Giant Strawberry of 00 rank 1st Stage, which is the set list we will be working with first, those members have been chosen as well."
I notice the 00s exchanging nervous glances. The only ones who looked calm, I would have to say, were Sassan's friends. I guess they figured the same thing as me. Because they were associated with Sassan, it was likely they would not be chosen. It would provoke fans to criticize the management for favoritism. In this way, the centre position was not rigged in their favour. "Don't worry about it," I tell girls, "Whether you want to or not want to be centre...you don't really have a choice if you're picked. But if you're not picked, it doesn't mean your career is off to a bad start, okay? Even though Sassan was picked by Miss Avery...okay maybe that's not a useful piece of info at this point. Miss Rowan, please do carry on."
"Ah, well, she is correct. Please stand in formation and step forwards if your name is called." Rowan prods around in her bag and finds a sealed envelop, which she proceeds to open. "The centre of the 00 ranks has been chosen to be...Samantha Willis." There was a smatter of applause as the girl stood forwards. Samantha Willis, nickname Sammi, average height, long brown hair. Yes, from her debut photos, many people were wondering about her ethnicity. She is half Irish, half Chinese. Most of SERA00 is Caucasian; inevitable since we are located in North America. There are few mixes like Sammi...Angel is another one, and the only I can think of right now. Typical me, as an Angel-fan. Some of the girls are frowning, like, why her? I think Macey wanted to be chosen. Again, the Sassan girls seem to be unaffected. I really should stop calling them that. It's not polite to them either.
The girls are holding their breath for the Giant Strawberry cast announcement. Even though it's not officially named the lower centres, they all well know that those girls chosen will end up as lower centre. Giant Strawberry is a four-girl unit song, consisting of one centre and three lower centres. "As for Giant Strawberry," Rowan continues, "the cast is as follows. Centre, Samantha Willis." I think she looks kinda scared. Normal for a newcomer; even I'm still freaking out about lower centre in Dry! "Lower centres, Yumi Tsukino, Briar Ross, and Macey Fent."
Yumi, probably the oldest one excluding Tomiko, steps forwards excitedly. Briar Ross, dubbed Briar Rose, is a girl of small build and she looks really shy as she steps forwards. Lastly, Macey has an almost smug smile on her face, but her eyes show that she was disatisfied in only getting lower centre. I recognize her ambitious attitude; it will help her a long way in her career. Macey is one to watch.
But then again, Sammi, whether she likes it or not, is the one who will explode in popularity since she will be the centre of the 00 performances.
Rowan claps twice. "Positions for first stage Party Hour." The girls cluster in the middle of the studio. The ones in front are down low, and they all tuck in their limbs. "Samantha!" Rowan yells. "You're centre! Who do you think that position we left open during practice is for?"
Samantha scurries to the cientre position, murmuring an apology to the dance instructor as she passed. She slips through the first rank and hesitantly places herself in front of a girl named Aspen.
"Own it," I whisper not-so-softly. As a C rank, I'm always in the back of Team Aurora's formation, so I'm always in a position o watch Sassan at the tip. From reviewing documentaries of SERA00 and of Sassan, I can tell so far that she was really shocked to have been picked as centre; she was shy, like Sammi. But now, you don't see any cases of the popular members going, sorry, I have to stand in front of you. Sorry, you have to look at my back when you perform. No, they all know that they've earned the position. They walk straight up there and take it. They know they belong there because the fans want them there.
"Ready?" Rowan says. "Centre goes straight out, lunge, arms up, then back to your side like before. Here we go." She presses the play button on the stereo. The music blasts out. I know the dance for Party Hour. There are six quick low pulses and on "paaa-rty" everyone lunges out from the clustered position. And then the song goes "it's coming up, the hour to, paaa-rty!". On "it's coming up" everyone skips into singing/dancing formation, which is usually three lines, and then on "the hour to" it's -
"Paaarty! It's com-"
The music cuts off. Rowan has gone into perfectionist mode. "No no no! Don't be lazy! Use some energy in your dancing! And smile, for goodness sake! No matter what you do, the first rule is SMILE. People come to see you perform and be happy, not a bunch of dripping wet depressed girls stumble around on stage!"
"Paaarty! It's c-"
"Again!"
"Paaa-"
"Bigger actions when you lunge!"
"Pa-"
"Smile!" Rowan screeches.
"Paaarty! It's coming up, the hour to-"
"On the hour to, as you slide in your right foot, move your body, your hip, slightly to the left to reflect the movement. For party-" Rowan demonstrates. "Punch right hand left hand and right hand with the left knee drive it up! Bring your hands down and wave as you skii-iip!" she instructs in tune with the melody. The girls try out the dance moves as Rowan moves to the stereo.
"Paaarty! It's coming up, the hour to, paaarty! Let's go, come on, let's go and paaarty!" The track they are dancing to is still the fifth generation version of Party Hour. I guess the sixth gens haven't had a chance to record their version yet.
"Again!" Rowan yells, but doesn't start the stereo. The girls make no move, waiting for the music. "Again," Rowan growls. "If there's no music, make your own." She draws blank faces. "Sing!" she shouts. "I hope every one of you know the lyrics of all the stages by heart by now!"
The girls eye each other nervously and get into position. They freeze in place, not knowing when to start. A girl raises her voice. "Okay, one, two, three, four!"
"Paaarty! It's coming up, the hour to, paaarty!" I see Rowan instinctively leaning in to see who had called the time. It was a girl named Echo, Eclair Holland.
Anyways, I don't have to tell you what happened after Rowan started raging about their singing.
Rowan gives me a little more backstage info after the 00s lesson for my blog. "Yeah, the first stage of training is a little shaky, but their skills and attitude will start to stabilize after they get onstage and experience it for themselves. I'm sure you know what I mean, a you were a 00 only a few years ago."
I nod. "So any insight on why Sammi was chosen as centre?"
Rowan stretches out her arms. "Ah...the understudy centre.

"Scary SERA00 Seniors!" O_o

Scary SERA00 Seniors? This is a what the new 00 ranks come up with after a couple of months at the SERA00 Complex.
There was a humoungous meeting in the Grand Hall of the SERA00 girls since Miss Avery came to see us. It was the first time she stopped by since Haven Hall. Standing up there in front with her microphone, she addresses the 00 ranks next. "00s, is there anything you'd like to comment on about SERA00, or your seniors, and performances?"
At first it starts as a low murmur amongst them, until it grows louder and one of the girls sitting close to the 00s, Fracken, shrieks, "What! Scary SERA00 seniors?!"
That got some good laughs until Luna asserted herself; "Wai-wai-wait a second here." She stands up and stares accusingly, but jokingly, at the 00s. "You think we're scary?"
"It must because of your dancing skills," Angel calls from the floor.
"Hey!"
"Anyhow, as leader," Angel starts in a comically pompous tone. "I take it upon myself to find out exactly what this means." She grabs a microphone from one of the staff standing by and stalks over to the 00s, shoving it in Sammi's face. "Sammi. You're centre of 00s. Speak for them all!"
"Ah..." Sammi nods nervously. "I think it was that look Sassan gave-"
"Me?!" Sassan screeches in surprise.
Yumichan speaks up. "It was yesterday, when Sakiko-chan and a bunch of her friends walked by the understudy lounge room."
Sassan frowns, then nods. "Hai...you and Tomiko-chan were in the corner on your phone."
Yumichan exchanges looks with Tomiko an snickers. "Ehhh?" Sassan wails. "Don't tell me, you had mail from them and you didn't tell me?"
Geneviève nudges Angel with her toe. "Continue."
"Right, right." Angel waves the mic around. "Anyone else have anything cocky to say about your seniors?"
"You'll scare off the real answerers," Rosie complains.
Macey speaks up. "Angel had something to do with it too...it was that incident after the concert. Sassan, Luna, River, and Geneviève burst into our room, and then Angel came running to see what the commotion was."
"Oh, that." River comments. Everyone notices it when the aforementioned members' faces darken.
Some of the other members are wondering what the problem is.
At the front, Miss Avery smiles. "Could it be...Genesis?"
Immediately, six heads whip towards the word. They are the first generation girls. Miss Avery continues to speak. "00 ranks, you would do best not to bash ANY part or component of that song."
The 00s look at each other, probably realizing what they had said about the song yesterday.
Genesis, if you need a refresher, is the song sung by a sub-unit consisting of the remaining first generations.
Fracken, the only Fab 4 member who is not first generation, but second, speaks up. "I'm second gen, so I never sung the song. But 00s, I have the advantage of having seen them perform it many many times, whereas you've probably never seen a stage or performance with it."
Miss Avery picks up from Fracken's sentence. "Genesis is a very important song to the first generation members. They perform it with such obvious passion and emotions of girls who have worked so hard and broken through obstacles to achieve their dreams. 00s. You don't know the history of SERA00 until you've seen a live concert performance of Genesis."
Please support the first generations and SERA00.

Four SERA00 Members Graduating

Around now, before the 2013 SERA00 Summer Concert, is one of the few prime graduation times of the year. So far, we have had four graduation announcements from the following girls, along with excerpts from their speeches:

Lashawna Edberg-Heskett
Lasha
B rank, Team Night
"Thank you SERA00 for kick starting my career. It is now time to take a step out of this group into the real world. I, Lashawna Edberg-Heskett, will graduate from SERA00."

Charmaine Carbonaro
Naro
B rank, Team Night
"I've enjoyed these couple of years, and I have to thank all of you who made it possible. But now, I, Charmaine Carbonaro, will graduate from SERA00, and join the G rank."

Ruth Lemke
Ruth
C rank, Team Night
"I enjoy SERA00 a lot, but I have to put my priorities first, and so for personal reasons, I, Ruth Lemke, will graduate from SERA00 and join the G rank."

Kimberly Buentello
Kim
C rank, Team Hope
"I've been thinking lately, what am I doing in SERA00? In my short time in SERA00, I have found a new path I wish to follow. I, Kimberly Buentello, will graduate from SERA00 and join the G rank."

This time around, there were not really any teary departures. They announced their intentions with smiles on their faces. I guess some of the more emotional farewells lie with the more popular members. Yep. Still remember those feels when Karayin graduated... But now she's back in full force as a reporter, yes? ;)

We can probably expect some promotions of 00 ranks. Ariande "Ariel" Wong and Tricia Henrie are popular contenders.
Please support these girls' desicions and please support SERA00 as well!

SERA00 Extreme Pastimes Special: Media Member Edition

Welcome to SERA00 Extreme Pastimes Special! This week we will follow the SERA00 Sonic Speed crew as the Media Members lead us around to show off their unusual but cool hobbies!
This is Evie, reporting from - SERA00 Sonic Speed.
(dun dun DUUUN) Did that achieve the required effect? Maybe not...ok ok let's move on, shall we. This shall be the written commentary on the episode, since I couldn't actually follow them around due to scheduling. But I do have some behind the scenes info that you won't find anywhere else ;) Here we go.
But behind their professional singing, dancing, and energizing personalities on air, is something else that hasn't been revealed to the world until a couple of weeks ago, on a SERA00 Sonic Speed. "I'm an amateur stunt driver," River said.
A stunt driver? What other kinds of extreme hobbies can the other members have? Let's find out now. All eight media members are waiting in a room backstage.
Knock, knock. I burst into the room. "Hi everyone!" I bow to everyone. This room is filled with extremely popular members and this is a chance not even many C ranks can get until they rise in rank.
A chorus of "Hi Evie"s fill the room.
"So I am reporting to all of your fans who follow by SERA00's blog!" I explain. "This is a behind-the-scenes short talk about your extreme pastimes!"
"You have fifteen minutes," one of the staff with the tablet and earpiece says.
"Ehh? Only fifteen minutes?"
"Hai," Sassan says. "The fab four have a joint photoshoot, River has a promo event for her solo, Luraland has her shift at the library to finish her hours, Rosie has a thing for Destination, and Harley has a thing for flynow."
"Ok then we shall start with this question! What sports do you do, that are considered regular?"
"Sassan does badminton," Luna immediately pipes up.
"Luna does basketball," she replies. "And soccer."
"Angel swims," Luna says.
The leader looks mystified. "Well...since we're on this present-others roll, Rosie does gymnastics."
"River does hockey!" she shoots back.
"Luraland figure skates," River says.
Luraland already has a reply ready on her tablet. It reads "Harley plays softball."
Harley purses her lips. "Ah...Angel...dances..."
"Everyone dances," Angel acts exasperated. "Sassan does ballet."
"So do you, Angel, so do you."
"If we're talking about ballet," Luna adds, "we should mention Feather."
A chorus of agreement comes from the other girls.
Insert :) Feather - Katerina Landon, prima ballerina. A rank, Team Night.
"Fracken does...who knows?"
Fracken speaks. "Harley also boxes."
"Fracken..."
"Tennis!" Sassan shouts.
"No, we're trying to figure out what Fracken-riiiight!"
Okay, let's review.
Sassan: badminton, ballet
Luna: basketball, soccer
Fracken:
Angel: swimming, ballet
Harley: softball, boxing
Rosie: gymnastics
River: hockey
Luraland: figure skating
But these sports are only the basis for something else; something more extreme.

DAY 1
Harley and River show up on screen. The wind is really loud over there. "Day one," they shout, "racing!"
Like she said, River really is an amateur stunt driver. Given that, if you chose one SERA00 girl to get into a car with, River would be the safest bet! Now Harley, true to her image, is an amateur motorcross racer!
Motorcycle shot of Harley roaring up to the camera. Classic slo-mo removing of the helmet and lettin' dat blond hair fall over her shoulders. "I started motorcross racing when my friend bought me a motorcycle a couple of years back." Close up shot of her face. She pats the motorcycle she is leaning on. "That's this baby here. I still keep her in good shape. She's a black Harley Davidson," Harley laughs. "I guess she thought that was funny. I was really surprised when she randomly gave me a motorcycle. But by now I've learned that she never does anything randomly." Harley blows a kiss in the direction of the camera. "Love you, Evanna!"
River is up next. "It was actually my older brother who provoked me to get into this," she explained. "When I joined SERA00 back in 2007, he saw a really big change in my behavior, from tomboy to cutesy dresses and frills, and he loved to tease me about it. Ah, so one day, he brought me to a racing event, and one of the producers there happened to be my fan," she laughs. "He offered the chance to learn stunt driving and I took him up on his word."

DAY 2
"Day 2!" Luna shouts. She glances at Luraland beside her, who is not saying anything. Luraland gives the second rank a smile. "Ahhh...what sport do we have? Luraland, help me out here."
Luraland shrugs and takes a step back, out of view of the camera. They look as if they're in some kind of studio.
"Some help you are," Luna mutters comedically. "Well, I guess Luruna don't do much extreme sports-"
Luraland comes flying out of nowhere. She somersaults over Luna's head. In an expertly rehearsed act, Luna spins around and boosts Luraland with two hands. The camera trails along as Luraland completes three spins of her body before landing neatly on her feet.
Luna turns her head, but not her body, back to the camera and gives them a smile. "Oh yeah." Luna reaches back and bends over, in a backbend position. She then kicks her feet off the ground and brings them into the air, and does the splits on her handstand. "Tumbling."
The Luruna pair are considered the best tumblers in SERA00. Any complicated acrobatics in choreography will usually be performed by Luraland, Luna, or them together.

DAY 3
"Ah, so sorry, we couldn't get any shots of Rosie and I for you," Fracken immediately starts off apologizing to the audience. "As you may have noticed...there is no snow."
"We alpine ski," Rosie explains. "We-"
"Waiiiit a second," Fracken interupts, "You ski. I snowboard."
"Psshh," Rosie says.

DAY 4
"Day 4!" Sassan and Angel shout together. They are also filming outdoors.
"Wow, I'm glad the weather finally cleared up for this segment!" Angel exclaims. The camera shot widens to reveal the girls' full bodies. They are in wet suits, with scuba diving gear at their feet.
The other divers onboard help them strap on the oxygen tanks, and they slip into the water. The camera follows them down. They swim along the bottom, perhaps twentymetres from the surface. It is not very deep.
"Ah, fish," Sassan says. "That is a [insert name of species I can't even pronounce, let alone spell]."
"They are shallow water swimmers," Angel continues, "so they fit in perfectly here."
Well, the program was much longer, but I don't know how to explain some parts of the episode. *Sassangel roams the bottom, stirring up sand as the landscape of blue ocean water does not change*

Any AKB48 WOTAs?

I think AKB48 is a great example of a popular and successful girl pop group like SERA00. They just had their 32nd Single Senbatsu Sousenkyo today! Sashihara Rino of HKT48 came out victorious, with AKB's Oshima Yuko and Watanabe Mayu coming close. In a shock announcement, AKB's Shinoda Mariko announced her graduation from the group.
I really look up to this Japanese pop group as my role models! I think Takahashi Minami is amazing ;)

Please support AKB48 and then, this autumn, please support SERA00 at their own elections!

Oh My, A New Single...Dry!

Hey everyone! Evie here. I just received THE biggest shock! And it's not because of the information about the songs we're releasing. By the way, we are. One song will be released in June, and another in August. The one released near the end of August will coincide with the elections!
Okay. Let's take our last few singles as an example. Seventh Heaven; Sassan was the centre, with Luna, Fracken, and Angel as the "lower centres". For Accelerate, Luna was centre, with Sassan and River as lower centre. Here is a narration of the announcement of the new single.
We were all called into the Grand Hall, where Ms. Tallan accepted us. "SERA00, the name of your 22nd single has been decided. It will be called Dry."
Immediately there was a lot of chatter. The 22nd single, Dry? We were all wondering what it was about, what the melody sounded like, how hard the choreography was. The A and B ranks were hopeful to get into the main cast. The C ranks...not so much. When Poppy and Holly got into the Seventh Heaven cast, that was already a novelty. Us C ranks are used to singing the coupling songs, which are the songs released under the main single.
"I will now announce the main cast," Ms. Tallan said. "This is finalized." That meant that the entire gig was planned out to the last detail by the management. This wasn't anything new though. The main singles usually are completely laid out for us, although we have more leniency on the stages. "Cast members, Sakiko Mihashi. Luna Remington. Fallon Mackenzie. Annelise Gillian. Harley Breeze. Rosanna Keros. Sara Rivera. Alura Land." These were all expected names. As they were called, the member stepped forwards. The tension in the room rose. Now that all the obvious members were called, there were eight, give or take a few, spots left in the main cast, and about sixty or so members.
"A rank, Team Aurora, Maya Shale.
"B rank, Team Aurora, Reece Walters.
"A rank, Team Hope, Lily Ellis.
"B rank, Team Night, Martine Alvear.
"A rank, Team Angel, Alison Li.
"A rank, Team Aurora, Katerina Landon.
"C rank-" Anxious intake of breath- "Team Aurora-" A lot of eyes were on us, as there are only five of us. Me, Rome, Fiore, Shannon, and Piper. "Romanne Taylor." There was a lot of cheering from the other members. Although they didn't get in, we know it's important to support others.
"Last main cast member. C rank-" Again? "-Team Aurora-" Many surprised girls once again turned on us- "Evangeline Vera." The support was just as loud, Piper told me later, but I was quite surprised, as was Rome. We hadn't gotten into a main cast for the last year, as far as I could recall then. The girls also recognized that the Romevie duo had been selected. That's what the fans dubbed our friendship (ROME-muh-vee), like how Sassan and Angel are Sassangel or Luna and Luraland are Luruna. So anyways, we were suitably elated to be taking part in the single.
Ms. Tallan put her hand up, calling for silence. "The centre for Dry will be Annelise Gillian and Luna Remington." The two girls bowed their heads. "The lower centres will be Sakiko Mihashi, Fallon Mackenzie, and Evangeline Vera."
Everyone froze. Silence. Not good.
Ms. Tallan continued on, as if oblivious to the sudden stop. "Main cast members, Alexandrea and Ms. Ryan start instructions tomorrow. Be sure to check that out. As for the coupling songs, instruction begins Monday afternoon. The casts are listed on the database as well. Pick up your copy of Dry after tonight's SERA00 Stage performance. All main cast members should be present for the performance, exceptions are already discussed. Any questions?"
Okay. I was now reeeaaaly confused. My brain was going, did she call my name or was it a trick of the ear? But it wasn't like my name could be easily mistaken. I felt a few more pairs of eyes on me than usual. What do I do? Lower centre? What? I've never been in the front line of a main single, let alone centre!
A hand entered my narrowed line of vision. "Come on, Evie. We'll all be centres together, okay?" It was Angel.
I nodded. And so we shall.

Release of SERA

Today commemorates the release of SERA, the movie that features a SERA00 cast as the leads! In this movie, three cunning female agents compete against each other in a battle of wits, intelligence, and malice to see who will break through as the winner; the good or the bad; but who is the good and who is the evil?
Anyways, the movie opened to a pretty good box office, which was to be expected, I guess, given the movie's amount of affiliation with SERA00. Despite concerns that it would be a badly made film, it was actually received pretty well by critics. They praised Fracken's ability to bring her suave character to life and everyone else too.
Anyways, everyone was all for Luna getting the lead role, and then she did, and now all the Sassan fans are afraid that Luna will snag the top spot in the 2013 SERA00 Elections. Angel fans are worried that she won't get into the Fab 4. I personally think that Fracken fans should be worried though; she seems the most set up to drop a couple of places.
Not to worry, Sassan fans, even if Luna snags the top spot. As long as Sassan moves back up the following year, she'll still stay the Centre of SERA00 throughout Luna's reign. To be crowned the Centre of SERA00, you need to have been in first place for at least two years.
Please support SERA00 by watching SERA!

Upcoming Posts & More Sixth Generation 00 Ranks

Hey everyone! This is Evie, of course, who else would it be? Anyways, I'm just gonna keep you all interested with some of the posts coming up:

-SERA00 Extreme Pastimes Special: Media Member Edition
-release of the movie, SERA, starring Luna Remington, Mihashi Sakiko, Fallon Mackenzie, and Annelise Gillian
-RYK Riiyukan Musicfest
-release of flynow's debut single, Untold

Ms. Tallan says that anyone reading my blog will probably be able to get to know the media members even more, but not the others. She says there are some less popular members that I haven't mentioned even once. She says that I should be more diverse when searching for subjects of blog posts. So I thought I'll start with the 00 ranks and work up. Blogging about their training and exposure to the idol fandom world should be interesting, right?

Speaking of 00 ranks, 6 more 00 ranks from the sixth generation debuted today. Miss Avery has confirmed that this is the last batch of girls who passed the sixth generation auditions. Here are their names:

Braelyn Rowe
Brae
00 rank

Aspen Wilkenson
Aspen
00 rank

Briar Ross
Briar Rose
00 rank

Samantha Willis
Sammi
00 rank

Eclair Holland
Echo
00 rank

Hamasaki Tomiko
Tomiko
00 rank

Indeed, indeed, does the name Tomiko Hamasaki ring a bell? Yeah, Mihashi Sakiko, Aida Kotoka, and Tsukino Yumi's childhood friend. Sassan was PLENTY surprised. Tomiko is in the later round, because even though she participated in and passed two auditions with separate judges, already proving her ability, she was hesitant to join. She wasn't wrong about that; her induction into the girl group raised many questions about fairness and how it was possible that all of Sassan's friends were able to join SERA00 seemingly effortlessly. Here is the management's reply.

"When we sifted through the applications, running backround checks on everyone, it was inevitable for us to learn that Mihashi, Aida, Tsukino, and Hamasaki shared close bonds. Upon this discovery, we reverted to the modified audition process that was first introduced during the Third Generation auditions, and also implemented during the Fourth Generation auditions. [Alura] Land participated in the Third Generation auditions, and [Harley] Breeze participated in the Fourth Generation auditions, both of which had ties to SERA00's leader, Annelise Gillian. This method required that the judging panel go into the auditions blind; the girls were not introduced to them before their audition, nor had they seen pictures either. In effect, when the judges passed Aida, Tsukino, Hamasaki, Land, and Breeze, they did not know about their connections to existing SERA00 members."

And there you go. Please support SERA00 and the Sixth Generation additions!

New Sub-units!

Two new sub-units will be debuting in SERA00!
Currently, there are only two sub-units, both of which the members are subject to change. There are the Media Members, which will change as the top eight members in the rankings change. And there is the First Generations, who have their own single. Obviously, this sub-unit will eventually diminish and disappear. But not for a while, we all hope. Surprisingly, the Fabulous Four don't have a sub-unit.
Now, Ms. Tallan announced two new sub-units. They say a third one may or may not be introduced later in the year.
The first one is an eight member sub-unit named "Destination". This type of group has A, B, and C ranks, and are supposed to have all of them working together to boost the members' popularity. At first, most fans come to the sub-unit performances to see the popular members, but they'll start to support the B and C ranks too, making them more popular.
The members of Destination are Luna, Rosie, Reece, Cherry, Alyss, Fawn, Holly, and Rome.
The other sub-unit is a trio of already popular members. So this is just good artistic pairing of talents. This sub-unit is named "flynow".
The members of flynow are Angel, Harley, and Geneviève. Although there is no confirmed date for Destination's debut, flynow's debut has been set.
They will release their first single, titled "Untold", sometime in June (the date hasn't been officially released, so I can't tell you).
Please look forwards to these exciting new developments!
Please support Destination, flynow, and SERA00!
