Hey everyone!
Did you think SERA00's "FOLLOW" concert was going to be out last of the year? We're officially breaking our personal record for the highest number of concerts held in a year. We bring to you the second installment of SERA00 ON AIR - the 2016 SERA00 ON AIR: One Heart One Stage! The concert will be held on the December 24th, and will be broadcast on the 25th.
"One Heart One Stage?" you repeat. "What does that mean?"
As the title suggests, the concert will be made up of individual stages by the members - an evening of solo performances. You'll hear a variety of songs. Some members will be performing a new solo single, there'll be some solo debuts, some new solo OSTs. Others will sing solo songs from Stage repertoire, or rearrange singles for solo performance. Of course, we can't leave out a full cast performance of our 37th single, "Blue Quest"!
Although it'll be a long concert, over 3 hours, time still does not allow every single member to have a solo stage. Thus, only the A and B ranks will have a stage to themselves.
The first ON AIR concert had an element of audience participation, so in keeping with the theme, this one will too! Using the SERA00 ON AIR app, audience members will be able to send a member "hearts" during her performance. At the end of the concert, the member who received the most hearts will be crowned the winner. Audience members can give an unlimited number of hearts - but here's the catch. Each "heart" costs a dollar.
To celebrate the holidays, all proceeds from the purchases of hearts will be donated to the charity that was fan-voted for the 37th single. So in the end, no matter who you give your hearts to, we're all contributing to the same cause!
Download the SERA00 ON AIR app and visit the Heart Shop to exchange your donations for hearts. If you won't be attending the concert and wish to make a donation, you can do so through SERA00's official homepage.

37th single: BLUE QUEST
Hey everyone!
Did you notice the wallpaper change? Just for the festive spirit :) Also, all the idol information has been updated to reflect the 2016 election results.
So! Whose submission did Management pick for the 37th single? ...not a SERA00 member's! Haha, don't worry, after hearing it, everyone agreed that the song was the right choice. Take a look at the tracklist to see which members' creations will be appearing on the album.

Although SERA00's never had an explicitly official colour, many fans associate our name with blue. That's also why this blog is blue-themed. "Blue Quest," written by Huang Yu Yan and Alex Xue of ECTI, is named for similar reasons. Yu Yan said that she was considering writing a winter piece, but rationalized that the majority of other submissions would be winter themed, so she decided to write something different. As the title suggests, the song likens the journey of SERA00 from where we were years ago to where we've come now as a quest for success.
Since it's exam season, I'm going to keep this post relatively short. The album drops on December 20 - exactly two weeks from now. Look forwards to it! For now...

37th single and the Firewood Project!
Hey everyone!
As if the election wasn't enough competition, here comes more! Management has officially announced that SERA00's 37th single will be a competition single. That means it's not a "normal" single, where we receive a title song from Management, and the main cast is chosen by Management or by the General Election.
Previous "not normal" singles include the 27th single "Dream/Maybe/Someday/You," where there were four title tracks, each with a different centre and a small MC. The 26th single was also not normal, as you had to audition with the choreography to land a spot in the MC.
Anyways, the MC for the single following a General Election is always the new set of A ranks, so the MC of the 37th single won't be a surprise. So what part of it isn't "normal"?
Introducing...the Firewood Project! This will be an internal company songwriting competition. Any YS artist, including all SERA00 members, can submit an original song for consideration. All the songs included in the 37th single will be picked from these submissions. Since every single only yields 6 songs, any other outstanding submissions will be included in SERA00's 2016 year end compilation album, "FIREWOOD". I guess Miss Avery doesn't completely trust our songwriting skills XD Accepting submissions from all YS artists ensures that there'll be guaranteed usable submissions from our resident songwriters - Angel, Yu Yan, Alex, etc.
The single will be released in the middle of December. But that's so soon, you say. How will we have time to prepare for the comeback? Actually, the Firewood Project was internally announced a while back, since we were preparing for the General Election. Management waited until after the election to announce it publicly. One thing at a time! Next question - Evie, are you submitting anything? Yes, I am! Don't expect anything though, there are tons of other submissions and it's my first go at songwriting. The members will find out shortly who the "winners" are, since we need to learn, record, and practice the songs. But you all will find out the details when we release the tracklist :)
Actually, a couple of days have passed since I started writing this post, and the chosen songs have already been revealed to the members. But in order to prevent myself from slipping any hints, I won't change anything I wrote above. You'll find out very soon anyways. For now -
